I walked into my coop today to find my older Americauna sitting on my younger Ancona while the Ancona was laying. Any reason why they do this? Is this normal? Do I need to worry about this behavior?

Not at all! That is perfectly fine. A lot of times, chickens tend to prefer a specific nest box, and will sit with other hens in order to lay eggs there. I wouldn't call it normal, but not rare, either. Here's a picture of my Black Sex-Links and one Red Sex-Link in one nest. The Black Sex-Link in the back is broody, and the others were visiting (and wanting to lay eggs), much to her annoyance! Your case sounds a little different, but I wouldn't worry.I walked into my coop today to find my older Americauna sitting on my younger Ancona while the Ancona was laying.
