So I went to check on my chickens the other night as was shocked to see 10( of 25) sleeping outside on the top of my chicken run. This started in the last week and have seen it happen again. I know it will only be a matter of time before a predator comes calling.... any ideas Please help...

My coop is well ventilated and I have a power ventilation system that kick in at 80 degrees. I also see no indication of mites. The unfortunate happed last night with a predator killing 2. Ughhh. I’m going to force them in the coop tonight. I hope that is the right thing to do.

I would. I lost 6 roosting outside, either taken in the night or when they came down in the morning.

Need more info:
How old are your birds....all females...or how many males??
All bird same age?
How big is your coop in feet by feet?
How much roost length, in feet?
Pics of coop and run would really help here.

Oh, and, Welcome to BYC!
Where in this world are you located?
Climate is almost always a factor.
Please add your general geographical location to your profile.
It's easy to do, then it's always there!
