I can do that with the work light and simply turn it off when I close the door at night. Thanks.

If they are going in, they can see. If they are not going in, a light might or might not help. I can guarantee you one thing, at -2 Fahrenheit I will not be out there installing a window, which I consider the best longterm solution if this is a problem.

Chickens need some dark downtime. You can have behavioral problems or even egg laying problems if they don't get some dark time.

Mine go in before it's too dark for seeing to be an issue. They have never waited until it was actually dark.

Same here, they are all hunkered down, especially during the winter, long before it is dark
