Chickens won't eat layer feed. Only want starter. Need suggestions.

I recently watched this YouTube video because one of my girls was having issues (which have now subsided). It's about 5 minutes long so you need to watch it until the end to see how this person handled his girl's crop issues...you may already know about this treatment but just in case, I thought I would share...

Thank you! I ended up just giving her docusate sodium and some psyllium husk. It’s all moving through but not sure how much is in there so I’ll have to do it daily until I don’t see anymore. If it doesn’t work I’ll take her to my vet. He did an enema with docusate sodium many years ago on one of my hens and it worked well.

If you can take her to a vet that would be your best bet. I would do it ASAP so she has the best chance for recovery

Make sure your hen has plenty of fresh water but no feed for 24 hours. If there is anything in her crop in the morning, you are dealing with an impacted crop. Give her some coconut oil by mouth to help it pass. Also, message the crop to help loosen the knot. Here's a vid that might help:
