Chickens won't lay in nesting box

Hey everyone, so I have about four hens and two roos and my hens won't lay in the nesting box instead they lay on the ground. How can I fix this

Do you have fake eggs or golf balls to show the hens where to lay? Are they too high to get into? Also, you're usually going to need about 10 more hens for those roos but if it works for you without the hens going bare, it's probably ok.

Are your nesting boxes in a private place in the coop
And if they are, try putting the eggs that they lay on the floor, in their nesting boxes.
And what are inside the nesting boxes as bedding?

Could be the males are harassing/stressing the females.

A little information could help. How long have they been laying? Did they ever lay in the nests? Is it all four of them? Where are they laying, photos of nests and where they are laying could help. Do they always lay in the same spot or are the eggs scattered randomly?
Different things could be going on. It's easier to respond if we have a clue what it might be in your situation and we are more likely to be able to give helpful advice and suggestions if we know what you are working with.

Maybe put a small plastic basket on the floor where they are laying? If they lay there for a few days, you can move the basket in one of the nest boxes, and hopefully they will move there with it. After a few more days take the basket out! (Thinking like a small Rubbermaid tub, or a dollar store storage basket that would fit in the actual nesting boxes!)

You might want to try using softwood shavings or pine shavings
That is what my chickens like the best
