I’m the proud new owner of three seven week old chickens. We got them as chicks and fell in love so fast. We have a golden (Phoenix) and a silver (Angel) Wyandotte and an Ameraucana (Firestar). They live with our neighbors silver (Nugget) and ameraucana (Leah) in our newly built backyard coop.
I have three kids, a set of boy/girl twins, who are ten years old and great chicken helpers, and a six year old boy whose life now revolves around “checking on the chickens”.
My husband helped build the coop over several weekends with our neighbor and can’t wait for the eggs to start coming.
Apart from raising our chickens we love to be outdoors, at the beach or gardening. We take frequent trips to local farms to help out and continue learning.
This website has been a great help leading up to us purchasing our flock and I look forward to all the interactions I’ll eventually have with all the chicken owners here.
