So my chicken is a mama as of today. She hatched one chickie and still has one egg. Wondering if i have to move the chick or if i can leave them in the coop with mama?
I dont have a brooder set up yet. Below is my coop and i have a flock of 4 hens and 1 rooster.

The first question is where exactly is she brooding in the coop..in one of the nesting boxes? If so, I'd leave well enough alone and let her handle any problems. There's nothing fistier than a broody mama!! Do NOT separate the chicks from the broody...she'll take care of them. Post pics...I just love seeing little new fuzzy-butts!!

Yes she is in the nesting box. She has another egg that hasn't hatched yet.

Here's the fuzzbutt :)

So I've been reading and so far I think I may need to provide a "nest" option at the bottom of the coop. Thinking a low edge cardboard box lid or something for now. I'm hoping the couple inches to get into the actual coop won't be a big deal for little fuzzy ones (there is a ramp, but it's not in great shape).
I was so worried that they were staying in the nesting box up to this point cause the man was telling me the fuzz might dehydrate if mama didn't take her out and then would die, but from what I'm reading they will probably stay in there for a day or two after the hatch waiting on any potential other fuzzies to hatch out.

Driving me crazy having to be at work when the little fuzz is at home, lol.

If you have a dog crate or something similar you can move mama and chick(s) to it so they still have their "own space" but are in the coop with others and are not completely isolated. If you do move them...do it at night time. Have the dog crate all ready to go and wear gloves! Your mama will hiss and put up a fight somewhat but just lift the entire nest with babies to the new location. Trust me, that mama will be right on your heels. She'll settle down with her new location. Make sure she has water and feed and all will be fine in chicken land once again.

Update - little fluff and mama are still with the rest of the flock. they kinda do their own thing compared to the rest, but there doesn't seem to be any issues. Both are healthy and doing alright it would seem :) My other egg didn't hatch, not sure why, but it's possible it wasn't fertilized.
