Chicks 1st day playing outside...

My chicks will be 3 weeks old tomorrow. I took them outside today, they loved it.

Where did you get the great little pen? Our yard isn't fenced yet so I'll need something like that to keep the little peepers in.

Where do you find that fencing and how much is it? I have 25 more coming and there is no way I can take them all out like I did my last 2 sets (6 and 3). I need one of those.........oh, and more chickens too!

that is SO wierd your blackish ones look EXACTLY like my 2chicks, do you know hwta breed they are? and the genders? i have no idea about mine except i think i have one boy and one girl!

I made the "playpen"

. I have a couple of these from Target. They come apart into squares. I think they cost $20.

I used some extra squares I had. You can make it bigger or smaller, but I don't know about taller (maybe if you use the circle connectors that come with it). For now they are taped together, on top and bottom, with that black electrical tape. I am going to use zip ties if (when

) that falls apart.

Beware: They can fly out of it, but mine only ran around and then cried to get back in

. I stayed outside with them.

JustChicky, mine are three weeks old, too. What was the temperature outside? how long were they out? I have a dog cage that should do the trick.
