I have 8 chicks, 4 of them 18 days, 2 10 days, and 2 of them 7 days old. They are being raised in a 4 ft by 5 ft henhouse used as a brooder with 2 heat lamps. So far they are all friendly to each other, no hurting each other, no injuries, no meanies. I have seen to it that they have a lot to do to keep them intrigued. They have half a dozen little perches made of branches fastened from 1 to 8 inches off the ground, which they constantly jump around on. They have a sand bowl to take sand baths. They have two waterers and two feeders, and once in a while I put some leaves or grasses in there which they peck at with fascinated interest. They are polite to each other and don't push each other around: the closest thing to that is when they play "king of the mountain" and push another chick off the highest perch when ascending it themselves.
