chicks a ramp and the coop......

ok about a week and a half ago my hen started hatching her eggs the last one hatched a week ago two of the chicks go in the coop by themselves with her the other four havent figured it out yet any sugestions as to either teaching them or luring them (thats hard not food motivated yet) into the coop at night. i feel like im terrorizing them when i have to chase them around to get them in

Wait until it is almost dark and maybe they will be asleep so you don't have to chase as much. Also, I started putting them on the ramp and pushing (patting) their little butts up, they finally caught on when I started doing that.

They should follow their mommy hen in & out, up & down, wherever she goes.

I only have 3 chicks and sometimes they are on top of Mom and she walks up the ladder.

It is funny. Mine took a couple of nights but now they follow Mom up the stairs and yesterday they did it on their own.
