I have a mixed batch of chicks and keets coming tomorrow - I've raised both separately, but never together. Can I house them all in the same brooder and give them all chick starter? Any tips I should know? TIA!

The guinea keets will outgrow
most chicks at twice the speed. I brood my guineas separate and turn them out into the free range chicken flock at 4 weeks old. I’m not saying you can’t brood them together. I’ve just never done it. All I can say is the guineas will definitely outpace the chickens.

I feed my guinea keets 30% gamebird chow when I have it. Otherwise they get the same chick starter as anything else.
