Chicks and lettuce

Is it ok to give chicks lettuce leaves? I know I read here that you should never give them grass clippings.

I would not as they have no nutrition. Spinach leaves torn into small pieces would be great. If you want to give them a little letuce for fun it will not hurt them though.

Romaine has nutrients. Iceberg, not so much.

Yes, this is Romaine, so I guess I will try one leaf and let them tear at it. Thank You

Try hanging a romaine lettuce leaf and watch them go!! I didn't do this often because I wanted to make sure they were getting enough chickie feed.
