Chicks are due to hatch next week, food ???

How do I feed them without the rest of the flock eating their food? (I was going to put them on medicated starter. ).

You should probably separate them anyway unless the mama is there to protect them. The elders probably won't accept them right away.

No expert but ... I remember reading that. I'm getting ready to experience that myself, and I am planning on keeping the babies separate until they are the same size as my adults.

Thus avoiding the feed problem.

Mama is there. She is not high on the pecking order, so Im not sure how it will go. I was thinking of putting them in a large wire cage, so they can all see each other so a bit (with mama).
