chicks didn't hatch

She has been sitting 26 days on at least 7 eggs. I did check one egg and there was a developed chick but no movement. What would have caused this? Should I take all of the eggs out? Will she try again?

I would take the eggs out and try to hatch them myself that way the hen will try again incase none of the eggs made it. If you leave the eggs she will continue to sit and sit on them even if they aren't going to hatch and this will keep her from trying again! Good luck!

Why would they develop but not lived to hatch

It could be a number of reasons like maybe the hen was gone for too long and the eggs got too cold or there wasn't enough humidity or it could have just been a bad hatch
