I have rentacoop chicken heater plate

I'm sorry for your loss.
You have lost 14 chicks? In how many days?
Where are you located in the world - are you in the US?

Where did the chicks come from?

The Manna Pro Chick starter - was it medicated?
Can you tell us the date that is on the bag of the Flock Raiser? I use Flock Raiser for chicks and have never had any problems if that helps - does the feed smell and look fresh?

You have a rented heat plate - was it cleaned well before you use it?
Where you are keeping them - how warm is it? Do you have a thermometer inside your brooder? Can you tell us the temperature?

Can you post a photo of the poop?

If you press on the stomach of the ones that are alive, does something white come out or was that just on the ones that died?

Are all the chicks bottoms clean and free of poop?

Sorry for all the questions - it can be hard to know what's going on with the chicks, so just trying to get some more information.

Chicks come from Hoover’s hatchery
the manna pro was medicate use for 5 days
I always look for poop stuck and clean
No thermostat use ,and the heater plate was clean I always after use is the third time I used and never this happen I used for 70 chicks one time and every one go under.
i just checked before go to work like 9 am and the my wife call me 11 am and she say was piping and some key down and died 3 and then I come to check and take video but I can do anything to save them becouse I don’t want can I do,
So I want to know what happened so if some day happened again ( I wish never again) I can do something or don’t make same mistake

I would make sure the equipment was sterilized before using again and a thermostat is used. I would contact hoovers and request replacement, even though I don't believe it was the birds. They will likely take care of you.

FWIW I have Raised 130+ from hoovers with about 8% loss from shipping or defect and none of the birds were vaccinated. Majority of that percentage was guinea fowl, and hoovers has them at a different facility. If I rule those out, I'm at 3-4% so my experience with Hoovers was good. They also refunded every bird despite a couple being beyond 48 hours.

I use automated thermometers and brood carefully. Confusing thing is, I had an EE chick get out of my brooder on a 40 Deg. night and make it until the morning check at less than a week old. Were the chicks panting? The one picture with the chicks shows them at the corner of the box away from the heat plate. Those plates have two modes, did you verify it wasn't shorted or in the ambient heater mode? Maybe the chicks were overheated and it took a week to wear on them? Just ideas but I would get some measurements to rule out nd contact Hoover.

Oh how heartbreaking!
The were vaccinated for Coccidiosis? Feeding medicated chick starter will negate the vaccine. I don't necessarily think that is your problem, but it may be a good idea to get some Corid and start treating them for Coccidiosis.

There should be a date on the bottom white strip of your feed bag - since they died after switching feed, I would still check the date and the feed.

Now, think - have you changed anything else than you normally do - are the chicks where there could be gas - are you running household heat. Are you brooding in a different location than you have in the past? I would put a thermometer in the brooder just to check temps to make sure they aren't overheating.

I do agree with contacting the hatchery and letting them know of your problem.
To find out what's happening, refrigerating the bodies and making arrangements to send them for testing/necropsy would give you the best answers. Cornell is your diagnostic lab https://www.vet.cornell.edu/animal-health-diagnostic-center

So sorry for your loss. You have received good suggestions from others. Since shipped chicks can go through unknown stresses, it is hard to know sometimes why so many died. Make sure their bedding is dry, and replace any wet or soiled pine shavings. Mold can cause respiratory issues. What type of beeding are you using? I hope that you don’t lose any more.
