I have 4 three week-old Silver Lace Wyandotte chicks, and I keep trying to lower the temp, but every time I do, they huddle toward the heat lamp. I started at 95 degrees and am trying to lower 5 degrees each week, but the chicks just don't seem ready. They have feathered out quite a bit, and they seem healthy, but I'm not sure how to get them ready to go outside into our cool Vermont air. Would love some advice!
