I know this is stupid, but my chicks eat my long hair, and dog hair. I pull it out, but I had to pull a hair ball out of a chicks stomach tonight. I'm worried about the other two. I won't let them eat outside the pen anymore, but what can I do for the two chicks that didn't have a hair ball pulled out of them?

How old are they? Are they still in a brooder? I don't have any answers, but I'm sure that others will want to know this answer.

do they eat there feathers to? u might want to put a flock block out for them and some shells this may help

They are only two to three weeks old. I won't let them anymore, and they are inside. They also don't eat their feathers. But my adult chickens do!

Your chicks should be fine. Just make sure they have access to fine sand, or parakeet grit. You wouldn't beleive what they can digest as long as they have access to grit.

You can't keep them from putting everything in sight in their mouth, they're kind of like a toddler that way. Thankfully mother nature gave them a crop, which works wonders on undigestables as long as it's stocked with grit.
