Hello! My four pullets are about 8 weeks old and I have finally added in a larger roosting bar ( curtain rod like, wood, stable and round) a few days ago. The bar is currently about 10 inches above the ground. I've been noticing the chicks sometimes falling off the bar and scaring themselves. Every time after they fall off they just lay on the ground acting all traumatized. But then jump back on the roost after a while. Is this normal behavior? Will they eventually learn to be more 'stable'?
