Chicks healthy for a few weeks, then die, all from same person

Curious if anyone has seen this before.

I’ve noticed a group of chicks from the same flock seem totally fine and then just die. Out of probably 15, two have reached maturity.

Some die within 2 weeks, the others that last longer I’ve noticed are very slow to feather out but otherwise seem
fine…. But then inevitably die.

Could this be a genetic thing? Chicks from other breeds all grow out fine, there isn’t any other disease present within my flock.
All these chicks are Bantam Millie Fleur Cochins and come from someone local.

Thanks!

Have you asked where you got them if they were predisposed to anything? Not sure if they'd tell you the truth or not, but it sounds like something genetically wrong. Not growing/feathering sounds like FTT (failure to thrive). That can happen sometimes with one, but with so many, that's very strange.

Are they on chick crumbles until they lay eggs, then a layer feed or all-flock?

She said nothing out of the ordinary on her end. I keep them on chick starter til near laying time. I even made sure with the last batch to include more vitamins, keep them warmer . Same thing ……
