chicks in a flock of 5

If one chicken hatches babies, how will the other 4 girls in our flock greet them? Will they accept that one of them is a mother and let her bring up her chicks undisturbed or would the little ones be at risk? What if there were just one chick? We have no roo, just mulling getting some ferilized eggs and in the event they hatch we have no idea what happens, if we need to separate mother and chicks from the others, etc. Thanks!

I think if they're with Mommy the other chickens will leave them alone, because the mothers will protect their babies up to a certain point. After the chicks are old enough to take care of themselves, Mommy will leave them to fend for themselves.
