Chicks of different ages?

What is the oldst chick you could raise with a day old chick? Is a 3 week old to old to be with day olds?

I'm just curious. Thanks.

Recently I tried placing a day old LF chick with 2 week old LFs and they immediately started pecking it. Next I placed it with 2 week old bantams and didn't have a problem. I think mixing birds of approximately the same size is the key.
