I would like to add a few more hens to my flock. I found chicks and 3 month old pullets on Craig's list and wonder about the advantages.
I raised my girls from 3 day old chicks and they follow me around the property, eat out of my hand, and generally make every day better. Cold weather is coming soon, so I was thinking that maybe slightly older birds would be easier. For those of you with experience with both, will the 3 month olds bond with me in time, follow me around the property, and bring joy to each day? Or should I cowgirl up and start with chicks again?
Or, I guess another option is waiting until Spring to add.
