I have never raised chickens. Last fall we moved to 3 acres in Arkansas, inherited wethered 3 goats, and yesterday my son ordered 25 chicks thru 4H. They will arrive around the end of March, or so I have been told. We will keep them in the shed closest to the house until the coop is built with tax money. I can run electricity into the shed. We also have a garage but 3 cats have access to that. I know how big my coop and run need to be, but what do I need to have ready for the chicks when they first arrive? A nice shopping list would be much appreciated LOL.

Thanks!

Ok, folks, what did I miss?

Oh yeah, Most folks put a thermometer in there too. Temp needs to be 90 degrees the first week.
