Chicks overdue

Where are you getting this information? If it's from UPs, please know that they are often delayed on updating things. If it's from the hatchery itself, they might not have had all of the chicks you ordered, so they're still working on filling the order. Do they have a place where you can contact them?

Two days in the mail is not ideal, but they may still be okay.

For shipping stress, be prepared with sugar water. It really helps give them a boost so they can feel perky enough to eat. It's best if it's gently warm when served. And don't leave it for longer than 12 hours before changing, because sugar grows bacteria.
