Hi all-
I have five 14 week-old Ameraucanas, all hens, and I recently switched the floor of the run from dirt to pine shavings. Since I've switched it, the girls are very reluctant to go back into the coop after free ranging for a few hours. When the floor was dirt, the pullet would put themselves up or allow me to herd them into the coop very easily. Since I switched, only 1 or 2 will go in willingly, the rest I have to pick up and take to the coop. Are they just reluctant to go in to a "new" environment, and will they get used to new floor?
Thanks.

maybe you could try tossing some treats in there, possibly some scratch or millet, something that they'd really want
