I have an EE chick who is almost 2 weeks old. Today I noticed that the toe on the inside of the foot on both sides are pointed back toward the tail at the joint. It is like that on both sides, but more dramatically on the left side. I felt it to see if it was popped out of the joint, etc., but I don't think it is. The chick does not act like he is in pain. Is this something I have to worry about? Has anyone every seen this before?

Oh yes. It walks just fine...runs is more like it...full speed at all of the other chicks.

It is also my biggest chick.

I'll have to find him a good home soon, and wanted to make sure it wasn't anything bad. It just looks like a double jointed thumb..it adds ummm....character

Ah yes...the chicken character...they all do! This one in particular thinks he is the karate kid.

Well, he is only 2 weeks old, but his ginormous legs, the fact that he is huge, the very slow feather growth, and how upright he walks....makes me think roo.

Where did you get him/her? My 4-H leader got an EE roo from a hatchery and has the same thing i think your chick has, if you had some pictures i could tell for sure. But the roo walks fine and everything!
