chicks voice(peep) change?

My Lavender Orpington began clucking at 3 weeks of age. One of my Ameraucanas followed suit at about 5 weeks of age. Everyone else still peeps, including my Ameraucana roo, which is very funny to see because he's so big and sounds like a baby!

all mine peep but my 6 week olds have started to make clucking sounds at times and my babies still peep

Mine were 3 to 4 months old before they started clucking. Kinda sad to hear them cluck because it means that they are no longer cute little chicks.

I ask because my chicks (week and a half old) almost sound rhaspy or croaky. As well as their normal peeps. They all eat/drink/poo normal. Hudle around my heat lamp good(not bunched or anything) and their behavior is perfectly normal. I may have heard a sneeze but its very sporatic. I'm worried they have a cold.

P.s. I posted under diseases/cures as well. Just woried about my lil peepers..hoping its just their style of noise making.

ours are 6 weeks old and still peep. if you listen close your can hear them converse. don't think they talk, but they do communicate.

My seven week old black Australorps still peep. BAs mature more quickly than some heritage breeds, so they are fully feathered and quite large, and they sound kind of silly still peeping like a fuzz butt.
