Chicks want to fly the Coop

My 18 chicks who are almost three weeks old are ready to fly out of their brooder, they either run and jump or they hop off of their perch . I thought chicks couldn't fly.

Had to put chicken wire on the top of the brooder to keep them in. The on little devil hops onto the top of the feeder. They are curious little buggers.

Yep....you have to have a top on the brooder.

Mine are just a little over two weeks and they already run and try to fly no caring what or who they land on. I have a small boulder and two sticks firewood in there for them to perch on if they want. Two containers of sand. They obviously need and enjoy a little entertainment!
