I have a one year old barred rock who Roo is aggressive to. She has been separated from the flock for about two weeks. Before I separated her Roo would attack/mate her and she would lay lifeless on the ground.
I have 22 chicks in a brooder that are 6 weeks old. Would it be ok to put them with my barred rock?

I'm not certain, someone gave him to me. But, we think he is between a year and two years.
your poor hen! I think there is only one way to find out if it will work and that is to try it. Do a slow intro and watch carefully for the first few hours and days. Even perhaps try 4 or 5 with her first before adding the rest.
Thank you. I feel bad for her. I separated her because I couldn't stand the thought of him killing her.

We think he is between a year and two years old. He is rough with the other girls, but, nowhere near as rough as he is with the one

@Pork Pie has made a couple of good suggestions...re-home the rooster and get the hen back in with the flock.

Welcome to BYC!
I would not breed a rooster, or let one reside with my flock, if he is a bully to the hens. His job is to treat them, watch for danger and sound an alarm, and to fertilize their eggs.
Your hens will be appreciative if you get rid of him.
