Chicks

I am planning on getting chicks, but I have a few questions before I get them. I want eggs and I also want them to be pretty tame. I was thinking about getting a couple buff orpington. Would that be a good breed? Also could I keep them in my duck coop/cage with a run? Thanks

I think so when you said tame and egg layer I thought BO before you even said that they are sweet so are light brahmas

I have an Australorp, Silver laced Wyandotte, Barred Rock and a Buff Orpington. My Buff is by far the most tame and she's a great layer.

Chickens and ducks aren't very compatible because of their different needs. Ducks are all about water, and chickens do badly in a wet environment. Also, drakes will injure hens if attempting to mate!
Separate housing is best!

X2 BO are a one of the most tame breeds and will probably follow you around the yard and come for cuddles!
