Chics having missing feathers and areas that look raw?

We bought some chics from Tractor Supply recently. Today I noticed that some of them have bare spots and what looks like raw spots.

We've raised around 40 other chics and I've never seen this.

These chics were in the clearance bin so we have no idea what kind they are.

The pictures aren't the greatest but hopefully good enough to see.

Some may be pecking feathers out, but some of the white birds might be meat birds, unfortunately. They can have patchy feathers and may appear larger than the others.
