I've got a cheap Chinese octagonal incubator that's been worth it's weight in gold. I've hatched many of my own quail eggs in it and used it as a brooder for baby finches. I find the water wells are too big for the first stage of incubation (perfect for lockdown) so I just use a cup of water until it's time for lockdown.

Thanx, I have not had a hatch with it yet, but only because my cock bird is a gay bird and is not doing his business

I got 0, it was during the Arctic blast. My furnace quit, fertility was questionable, & they may have been x-rayed since they were shipped eggs. Just wasn't meant to be. Had trouble keeping temp up & humidity stable the first time. So I'm getting it ready today to try again!

I think they are hit or miss, and mine has been a definite miss. Just not a good incubator at all. Not conducive to life for my eggs, but that's just been my experience. I ordered one of those 48 egg automatic turner yellow incubator from eBay. Took forever for it to come, and then when it did, I lost about 60-90 bucks in eggs because of it's malfunction.
