This is my first experience hatching eggs under a broody. Everyday there is at least one unfertilized egg in the clutch under my first-time broody that I remove when I do my daily egg collection. This afternoon when I checked under her, I noticed one of her fertile eggs has a tiny chip on it. The white membrane is exposed, but there is no oozing of fluid or leakage. Are the other eggs being compromised at this point? Should I remove the egg?

Depending on the size of the opening, I would take some liquid bandage and coat the cracks well to retain moisture and prevent entry of bacteria.
It has worked well for me with cracked eggs in an incubator.

Thank you so much! I will run to the drug store first thing in the morning!

First how old is the egg? is it near the 21 day mark and if the white membrane is in tact the chick should be fine. I did have one that had an indented crush about the size of a penny and I lit a candle and let the wax melt onto the egg about two weeks late the chick hatched and was very health.
