SOUR MILK CHOCOLATE CAKE

1/2 c. Crisco
1 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
1 3/4 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour milk

Cream together Crisco and sugar, add salt, vanilla, and eggs. Add melted chocolate and beat 2 minutes. Add flour combined with soda alternately with sour milk. Pour into greased and floured pan. Makes two 8 x 1 1/2 inches round layer pans or a 9 x 9 inch square pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
