Does anyone know where to get some chocolate silkies? Even to breed one as well. I've been dying to get my hand on some but it seems like nobody sells them. I'm guessing theyre mixed with some other bird and are not full silkie.

I raise purebread silkies and have chocolate ones. I have heard this year they are in big demand, and I can't hatch them fast enough. If you wanted to wait until this fall, I could sell you some hatching eggs, but right now, I can't keep up with the orders.

thank you for that! Ive seen someon ebay but everyone lives across the US and I heard that having old eggs reduces the chance of hatching chicks

Although that would be okay its just hard when people only sell 3 or up to 6 eggs only. And they're pricey. :hmm BTW your chickens are so cute lol

Yes, they shouldn't be any older than two weeks as then the hatchrate suffers. The hatchrate suffers as it is from shipping.

Thanks! I've only sold minimum of a dozen and was getting $60/dozen (actually 16 eggs) plus $20 to ship.

You'd probably want to get half of some other version, like buffs, paints, or cuckoos.

THats not that bad of a price. Considering on ebay it was like $36 for 3 eggs

I didnt know it was up to 2 weeks i thought it was only a few days. Have you shipped eggs before?
I have, but not when I'm hatching them. That's why I said if you don't find any and don't mind waiting, when I'm done, then I'll start shipping again.
