Hi all,
I have a 20 week old black Australorp cross hen I found her in the coop a couple of days ago with one leg stuck out in front and the other at 180 degrees sticking straight back. She can't stand or move herself around and is lethargic and a bit grumpy. She seems to not have much control over her head either and is having trouble pecking the food I placed for her. I can't actually feel a leg break but I'm no expert I wouldn't really know what to look for anyway.
Fortunately the others seem to be ignoring her at the moment and they all appear in good health. I have placed food and water within her reach but I don't want her to suffer more than she has to. I can't afford a vet at $60 just for the consultation...any advice is most welcome (although I'd prefer to hang fire before you send recipe suggestions).
My thanks
