Hello all,

I'm a long time listener / first time caller from Manitoba.
My husband and I have 14 chickens in total currently, 7 white laying hens they were my first ladies, I'm actually not sure of the breed, but they are white, little and lay big big white eggs. Last fall we added some light Brahmas to the group, although we ended up with two roosters and one asexual chicken out of the bunch (we thought she was just a big hen until rooster feathers started to come in this spring!).

We live on 67 acres and our chooks have free run of the yard and gardens and they share the space with our shetland sheep and guard donkey.

Right now we are on day 20/21 of our first hatch using an old hova-bator that was left from the previous owners of our place.
No movement yet, our fingers crossed that all goes well!

Any other Manitobans out there?
