Chopped hay from TSC - anyone use it in their nesting boxes?

I was checking out TSC for some bedding and saw TNT chopped alfalfa hay for $8.99 a 25# bag - I guess I could use that instead of ripping apart a bale of hay everytim I clean a nesting box, but figured I would probably go thru more of it
ANyone use it?

I use pine needles, But we have allot of pine trees in Ga

I use pine shavings - the same as my deep litter. My son-in-law used hay and didn't like it so went to shavings as well.

Alphallfa is rather coarse, I use grass hay, and can get a bale at a feed store for the same as you pay for a bag. Just what I use, nothing fancy.
