Well so far this morning 5/6 have hatched. Only one grey.

This is amazing! I am so regretful right now..I've let my broody sit on eggs in a nesting box and now I don't know what to do. One egg pipped early afternoon and I hear it chirping but now I'm laying in bed worrying all night! I boarded the nesting box halfway so if it hatches out it can't tumble out overnight. I'm going to try to move her tomorrow but I read it's not a good idea once they are beginning to hatch.

Sounds fine. You can move them when they're done hatching. The first chick out won't need food and water for a day or two, so she's fine to just hang out in there until her siblings are ready. Hope they do okay!

Well I gently checked this morning and no chick, coming up on 24 hours since pip but I still hear chirping but can't tell if it's from another egg while not wanting to disturb her nest/being attacked so just gonna keep an eye out and hope for the best.

I lost track of this thread, and just catching up. How did you make out? Hopefully you have some sweet little chicks running around! My 6th egg never hatched. Mama sat on it for a day or so and then just up and left it to tend to her little ones.
