(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am new to chickens. I've had my lovely little flock for about 2 months now.
1 chicken and 14 chicks
(3) What breeds do you have?
1 black sex-link hen and 14 silkies
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I absolutely LOVE hatching eggs and raising baby chicks! I could raise chicks literally ALL the time.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I homeschool my kids and I have a sustainable garden.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am the proud wife of a United States Army disabled veteran, and mother to three incredible girls. We have a house full of pets other than our fluffy flock, which include 3 dogs, 6 rats, a prairie dog, and an African Grey parrot.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I found your site through pinterest about 2 months ago. I really enjoy reading the different threads, and I'm super excited to officially join the community!!
