Chronic soft shell egg causes?

I have quail, one of which was bullied so much (or that’s the theory) that she stopped laying. She looked really ill/unthrifty a couple weeks back as well. Now somebody in that pen has laid 2-3 soft shell eggs in as many days, my other 12 laying hens are having zero issue with this and are on a good layer feed so it isn’t dietary calcium. Can it be stress or does she have something wonky with her repro tract?

It can be all of those reasons combined but maybe you can give her some sort of calcium just in case.

She’s on the cull list, just curious as to preventing in future, counted 3 squashed eggs in the pen and another on the way, rest of anatomy seemed fine. Did have another hen with a chicken egg sized cyst, probably ovarian, decent layer but all her eggs were infertile, that would explain that!
