I have a lot of clam and mussel shells in my area. How do I treat them to feed my chickens? Do they need to be rinsed so their not too salty?

Probably can’t hurt to give them a rinse, although probably not entirely necessary.

You’ll then need to crush them so the chickens can eat them. Lots of stuff would work, but an old athletic sock and a hammer works.
