I'm not sure this is of interest, but some of these classes seem like they could be very helpful: https://theiwrc.org/courses
They are designated as being for "wildlife" which means they are focused on treat and release, but they seem to cover a lot of basic aspects of diagnosis, health care, pain management, etc.
I'd take them if they were offered in my neck of the woods!
