clean drinking water?

How do i keep the quackers drinking water clean? Whats a good water type they wont swim in?

We have 3 pekins, a few months old not sure what sex yet. For now they're in with chickens, plan to separate them before winter.

Theirs plenty of water if the ducks would not swim in everything. They have a kiddie pool, a metal barrel cut sideways on legs to stop rolling, and multiple plastic fridge drawers in hopes there'll be some clean water left. Of course theirs not, ducks make sure to take a swim in every on of them before the days over.

Any suggestions?

I trained my ducks to drink out of chicken nipples. I just drilled holes in a 5 gallon bucket, screwed the nipples in and now they have clean water! They still have access all day to their pond, ducks need water to dip their heads in. At night, though, their only water source is their bucket, and it keeps their coop clean and dry.
