Thanks for all the welcome greetings and suggestions. Poop boards might make for a brighter future!
In the meantime for anyone that stumbles into this situation here is what i found out ! An old two pronged hoe (with a long handle) worked wonders. I slammed the prongs into the weave, pulled just a few inches towards me, and then repeated to make a 3 foot cut line, i was then able to roll out reasonably manageable sections in layers like they were heavy pieces of sod. Then lifted by hand into the bobcat bucket parked outside. This was a tool left behind on the property from previous owners, and it is coming apart at the welds with my use ... so I also placed an order with amazon for a Fiskars 3651 Long-Handle Aluminum Cultivator Hoe, 66-Inch in hopes that it does the same job but backed by a lifetime warranty; that I will be testing !
Its still a lot of work, but its moving along much much much quicker now than struggling with the pitch fork ..... Tylenol and hot tub will still follow
