Hi i am almost through the breeding season this year and just wanted some thoughts into this out of a total of 100 eggs 43 were clear upon candling that seems a lot of clear eggs considering i have 5 peahens and 3 peacocks which are all over 4yrs old why so many clear eggs any thoughts on this thanks

1 - old eggs.
2 - eggs stay under the sun too much time.
3 - in one pen ... 1 male + 5 peahens is better .... no stress ... no conflicts .... real matings !

The males are probably to busy trying to get in each other's way to mate successfully. I agree keeping a male with several females on their own is a much better plan.

Mating ... not really effective!
Thats just wrong, your killin' me,
