Clipping wings to discourage getting into a raised vegetable garden

I'm new to this and have 4 hens that are only 12 weeks old. I built the coop next to my newly-built and raised vegetable garden which are about 2 feet from the ground. I am considering ways to keep the girls out of my new vegetable garden. I've read posts about using fencing around the garden. I'm wondering whether wing clipping will help since the garden is raised. If I clip one wing of each hen, will they be too discouraged to try to jump up 2 feet because of the unbalanced wings? What do you think? Below is a picture of my garden and coop.

By the way, I have two Buffs and two Araucaunas.

Sorry but no, a wing clipping will keep large fowl from jumping a 4 foot fence (though banties can fly even higher) but won't stop them from hopping 2 feet up.

I made a 4 foot fence out of chicken wire and 2x2's. - lasts a long time and for not much money. Your raised beds make it even easier, the home store sells a wobbly, green 2 ft rounded top fence that shoves into the ground about 15.00 for 12 ft. this works on my raised beds but i do grow tomatos close to the fence for them. They love the tommy toes! (and ignor everything else)

No, that won't help at all. They can easily hop that far without even flapping their wings. At 2 feet, all they really have to do is stretch their necks.

I'd fence the beds, (yes, it's a hassle getting in and out), and be aware that they will do anything to decimate your garden! I heard years ago that chickens were great for pest control. Took only a week to figure out why- after they'd been in there the bugs were gone and so were the plants they were munching on!
