Close Call...

I had a close call last night. My wife was a little late in locking up the chickens, when see went out to finally do it there was a big ol' coon sitting by the coop. My wife paniced and ran back inside. When she looked out the window he was crawling over the fence into the run. She finally got in touch with me an hour later! I raced home expecting the worse but when I went in the chickens were all safe and sound in the coop. The racoon must have went in the run eat their food and left.

Very lucky. I had a talk with my wife about defending my chickens. She has never been a big fan of my other girls. I think she might have hired out the racoon to put a hit on my girls.

Have you thought about, she could have an insurance policy on your girls.

Try getting her ear protectors and an air horn. She can blow it out the window, from the safety of your house.
