Hi! I am a new member just joined. Looking forward to communicating with all of ya'll and learning some tips and tricks along the way. I enjoy reading posts so far and I figured with my chicks getting bigger and more on the way (chicken math is real!) I can use all the help and pointers. I also want my chickens to be the healthiest and happiest chickens around so curious to find out what specific things everyone feeds their chickens as 'treats' supplements and meals.

We just moved into our new house in January and are repurposing an old playhouse as the chicken coop. Honestly, I'm VERY happy with the outcome it is almost done and the defenses are complete for 'predator' proofing the coop and run. Maybe I'll show finished pictures!

Thanks for looking!

The standard questions...
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Yes! Just got the 'first round' end of February.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Currently 22. 5 are only 2 days old. The others are around 2 months old.

(3) What breeds do you have?
Easter Eggers, Starlight Green Eggers, Light Brahmas, Leghorn, ISA Brown, Barred Rocks. Black Jersey Giants, Rhode Island Reds coming soon and potentially Olive Eggers and Cream Legbars! (Oh my!)

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Creating my own coop with my future husband and seeing the chicks grow up and see how they change and their individual personalities.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
My big vegetable garden and TWO pigs - Big Bertha (Pot Belly Pig) and Wilbur (Yorkshire Pig).

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
We also have two cats and a dog.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
For awhile, anytime I ask google a chicken question BYC always pops up, I figured it was time to join.
