Cluckatraz in the UK

Welcome to BYC!

We're glad to have you. Good luck with your flock!

Our young chicks will be 2 weeks old tomorrow. They are growing quickly with the Ickworths feathering up nicely. Our Silver Laced Wyandottes Banthams seem to be 2 different colours, one pair are developing more silvery feathers whilst the other pair are darker with silver tipped wings. Maybe cockerel and pullet? Our remaining "Son of Dave" is almost an inch taller and twice the weight of the Ickworths. Considering his mother is a Sussex we are really looking forward to seeing him/her develop.
Our other hens are 3 Light Sussex and "Dave" in one pen and Peggy and Maggie in another. We are busy building a 16ft x 14ft enclosure from 20ft x 8ft pallets. (Photos to follow).
No plans to hatch anymore this year but will add to the flock next spring.
Any advice on how long it will be before we begging to guess what is pullet and Roo would be appreciated.
Pete and Tessa
